The loneliest digits
It’s numbers of pictures
you post to reach one person,
and the one doesn’t see it.
it’s strange to try to reach
one person
through one-hundred strangers.
Too scared, to reach that
one person, in person.
There are a billion corners
to hide around.
If you happen to bump
into each other, you
might exchange buttons,
a vague sign of approval,
an empty heart
colored in red.
But no words exchanged
and no plans made.
The loneliness stays.
